Where can I find a durable cowboy hat for work that still looks good but isn't expensive?
Q. I work in the rain, in the dirt, and in the sun. I need a cowboy hat that can stand the elements but still looks good when I go out. But as I look there are hats that are hundreds of dollars, but with this economy I can't afford that. So where can I find a quality durable cowboy hat that looks good a but isn't expensive?

Q. I recently purchased my first pair of cowboy boots. Unfortunatly, they are extremely stiff & uncomfortable. Short of wearing them around the house for the next six months, what is the quickest way to soften them to wearable condition?

A. I always treat my new leather boots with a generous application of petrolium jelly. I apply it with a clean cloth rag and let it sit overnight. In the morning, or about 12hrs later, I work it in with my hands by bending them the way they would be bent on my foot. It's important to wear them around for a while to insure they'll mold to your feet properly. Then if need be, I apply another coat and let sit another 12 hrs or so. It will darken the colour but You'll be wearing them pain free in no time. AND...they'll be waterproof!!! Hope this helps.
