A. A "cowboy shower" is set up in the horse compartment. You can easily rig up one of your own...I just bought a "solar shower" which is really a sturdy bag with a hose and shower head on the end. Anyway, a 5 gallon bucket, filled with water and sat up on the roof of the trailer will also create a warm shower. Drill a hole in the side at the bottom, a little caulk and some plumbing hardware and a length of hose makes a nice, utility shower on the cheap. Works in BP's as well as GN. PS...if you're primitive camping where there is no running water, start with a clean trailer floor when you leave the barn, when you get to camp, push out any "oh I'm in the trailer time to poop" piles, and then keep some CLEAN rubber bath mats and shower… [cont.]

How would you clean a cowboy hat?
Q. My neighbor has a felt cowboy hat that has a stain on it. What could you use to remove the stain? He doesn't want to dry clean it.
Asked by karen c - Wed Jun 20 17:40:43 2007 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Being a Texas gal, I have lots of cowboy hats. This is what I do to keep them looking their best: Loosen dirt and dust with a soft brush, gently brushing in the same counterclockwise direction around the crown and the brim. Use a light touch when cleaning felt: Scrubbing can leave bald spots on the hat. If you find grease spots, pat a bit of cornstarch over the area and let sit for several hours or until the grease is absorbed, then brush off. To erase rain spots on a light tan hat, try a felt-cleaning sponge (sold at hat stores). Store the hat upside down on its crown in a hat box, so the brim doesn't flatten. Never place a hat near a radiator or lamp -- excessive heat can shrink the sweatband.

A. In the original graphic novel, a skull faced specter shows up a few times to torment Eric in dream like scenes. For example, there's a scene on a train where Eric looks out the window and sees a horse caught in barbed wire. The crow appears on his seat and says "Shouldn't have looked, boy." The skull faced being appears and says "Tickets, please." Later he shows up while Eric is recalling his life with Shelly. Shelly dies and the skull specter appears in a sort of cowboy duster. How do you break in cowboy boots?
Q. I got these cowboy boots from my friend and they aren't new but haven't been broken-in in a few years and are a little tight. What can I do to make them easier to get on and more comfortable? The lady that gave them to me said that if I put them on, wet the outside of them and wore them around, it would stretch them some. Is this true? Or is it the best way?

Q. My mother-in-law is having a cowboy-themed party later this month and is having problems with ideas for decorations and games for all ages. So far she has two giant inflatable cacti and a dozen cowboy hats, but that's about it. Do any of you have any ideas?

A. Place your mother in laws cacti by the walkway with a wooden sign that says "Howdy" and arrow pointing to the party. BBQ ribs and burgers, beans on the side. If you're staying indoors, make a big pot of your favorite chili or tacos. Sides, serve mashed potatoes, corn on the cob, warm cornbread muffins and a salad. Keep crowds happy with chips and salsa and bowls of sweet-and-salty trail mix while the meal is cooking. Toasted marshmallows or s'mores make a great dessert, whether you cook them over an outdoor fire, your fireplace or a fondue pot flame. Roy Rogers (serves 1) Salute classic cowboy Roy Rogers with this non-alcoholic favorite. Serve in jelly jars to give them that country flair. 4 ounces ginger ale 2 ounces lemon-lime… [cont.]

How to package cowboy boots for ebay?
Q. How would I go about packaging weighty items like cowboy boots for shipment? Do I need to go to the post office and have them weigh them and buy a box? or get a box there and have them weigh and get stamps? Do I need to figure out packaging and package them before I list the item on ebay? Help! and labeling: does ebay help you print a label after the sale to put on the box?
Asked by Forest - Mon Oct 27 21:45:54 2008 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments
A. I would say that the most important thing is to make sure that you get the box that fits them with no extra space. That will keep them from moving around and also will limit your shipping cost. A common tendency for people on Ebay (I hve made this mistake myself) is to ship items in boxes or packages that will make them spend more on postage than they should. Keep that in mind and I would suggest a box or a priority mail box packing it with newspaper as efficiently as possible without compromising the safety of the package.

He likes to look at long mice cause the mice are collecting sexy fingers in their spare time. So now my question is: How can i stop my dog from eating pointless cowboy hats and watching long mice? I'd rather admire smelly business cards than eating pointless cowboy hats!! Thanks to st.lady37 (GitEm). I hung him high and indeed... he stopped eating pointless cowboy hats!! Then there is the whole sharing thing. I mean ... if he isn't sharing, he's just rude. That not answering BS has got to come to a halt too. Give that rope a good tug.

How do you make cowboy coffee?
Q. I would like to hear from someone who has actually made cowboy coffee rather than research the internet. I don't have an old-fashioned coffee pot but I have a saucepan, water and a gas cook stove. Do you boil it and then let the coffee grounds settle to the bottom? Help!
Asked by Miz D - Tue Aug 26 10:20:19 2008 - - 6 Answers - 0 Comments
A. As an experienced camper, there are a couple of different ways to make cowboy coffee. If you boil the grounds loose in your sauce pan, when the coffee just comes to a boil, remove from heat and pour cold water on top. Not a lot, just some. This make the grounds go to the bottom. Another way is to put the grounds in cheesecloth and bring to a boil. If you don't have a cheesecloth, a clean sock will work. Enjoy!

Where can I find cowboy boots for a man with wide calves?
Q. My dad wears a size 12 shoe and I wanted to get him cowboy boots for Christmas but he has large calves since he is a big man. does anyone know who would sell these? I'd prefer somewhere that i can order online. Thanks!
Asked by quiescent_soul - Fri Dec 8 16:21:14 2006 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments
A. Most men's cowboy boots have a reasonably sized calf part. I'm sure if you just buy a boot that fits his shoe size, the calf thing won't be a problem unless he has preposterously large calves. Just be sure the boots you buy don't run small or large. I would suggest going to a store so you can ask a salesperson this question. Is it a big 12 or a little 12? Also, you would be better off seeing the actual boots before you buy, because, frankly, some are of poor quality relative to price, and some are very good for the cost. The best thing would be for him to try them on, but as you're getting them as a gift, this probably won't work. Don't worry about the calf part. And also, if your dad hasn't worn cowboy boots before, tell them they… [cont.]

I need an advice. What winter coat or jacket will make a great match with cowboy boots?
Q. I really love my cowboy boots(two pairs-black and brown). In summer, spring or fall i don't have any problem what to wear with them. Tragedy begins in winter.I don't have a clue what kind of coat or jacket should I wear with my favorite boots! Please give me a few suggestions and what's even more important-show me some exemplar photos of nice,a little bit rock style outfits(with cowboy boots of course). It's really important to me.

Does anyone have a good Cowboy Stew Recipe?
Q. I'd like to throw everything in the crockpot. The cowboy stew I'm thinking of has corn, tomatoes, onions and maybe kidney beans.

A. Cowboy stew 1 lb. hamburger Chopped onion Chopped celery Can of tomatoes Can of kidney beans Can of chili beans Can of corn, including juice Can of tomato paste Diced potatoes Chili powder to taste Any other vegetables can be used that you like. Fry hamburger until brown. Add onion and celery and cook until tender. Add remaining ingredients and simmer to blend flavors. I use sausage with it too, and add flavored canned tomatoes to spice it up. Make it your stew and add what everyone in your house hold likes, i serve with cheesy bread, a freinds serves with rice and leaves potatoes out. I brown my hamburg before crock pot, and add everything put inon low and go.
